  • Classic and video slots

    You win when matching symbols land on a payline. Classic-style games keep it simple. Video slots add bonus rounds and symbols such as wilds and scatters.

  • Megaways

    The number of symbols on each reel changes from spin to spin, so the number of ways to win changes too. Titles with Megaways in the name, such as 9 Pots of Gold Megaways, use this style.

  • Cluster pays

    You win by landing a group of matching symbols that touch, instead of a line. Lucky Leprechaun Clusters is named for this style.

  • Hold and respin features

    Special symbols lock in place while you get a few free respins, and landing more of them can reset the count. The exact rules differ in every game, so read the info screen.

  • Free spins and multipliers

    Many slots have a free spins round, usually started by scatter symbols, and some add multipliers. When these rounds come up is random.

Read a slot before you spin

Bet size. The bet button sets what each spin costs. Check it whenever you open a new game, as the default can differ.

Paytable and rules. The info screen shows what each symbol pays and how features start. Some games list a return-to-player figure there: a long-run average over huge numbers of spins, not what you will get in one session.
